The Lion in ME

The jungle has a king - the Lion, and so does our Soul - the Mind. The Mind is the Lion inside us. The Mind is the master power that moulds and makes, and evermore a man takes the tool of thought, shaping what he wills, bringing forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills. He thinks in secret, and it comes to pass. Environment is but his looking-glass. The peaceful state of a powerful mind is analogous to the calm but fear-provoking portraiture of the Lion or the petrifying third eye of Lord Shiva. We are after all, what we believe. The painting conveys that meditation is the key to harness this power, to send waves of vigour and energy throughout ourselves and the others around us.
