Construction (Set of 2)

I love exploring an integrated language of form, shape, space, volume, colour, light and shadow in my artwork. I assemble geometric shapes and forms intuitively onto the two-dimensional space to create improvised construction. Sources for my inspiration abound in the frieze sculpture carved on the wall of ancient Indian Temples and the Geometric Abstract Art of the West. I fuse them in my art to achieve a new visual expression. There is hidden multilayered meaning in my artwork. And the juxtaposed forms, shapes, space are not neutral or hermetic either. But as an artist, I don't want to articulate a direct statement or pinpoint a specific narration. My artwork exists as an autonomous entity, and the viewers are free to communicate with my art in their way. That is the main reason I work with abstraction.
