Nandaprayag

The second confluence of the Alaknanda river is with river Nandakini river. According to a tale, it is said that the confluence derives it’s name from King Nanda who was granted a boon of the birth of a son. King Nanda and Yashoda became the foster parents of Lord Krishna. There is a temple of Lord Krishna in this confluence. Lord Krishna possesses beauty, radiance, charm, joy , vibrancy and supremacy. In this painting of this confluence, I have depicted his characteristics through the colors of the rivers.
