During the laparotomy surgery process, while the surgeons work on my body, it feels like I am viewing the entire process from another perspective; my alter ego's perspective. This is because during the surgery, the pain seems like it is being felt only by the body... not you ... not me ... not anybody..... And so these works of mine have been conceptualized and created to represent the surgery and the recovery that happens between the body and the alter ego.
