The bright bold palette that Shiv Kumar employs in his paintings aptly expresses and mingles with the carefree and relaxed nature of his childhood times. 

The sheer pleasure of drenching in the rain to the vivid varieties of flying kites, the playful interaction with the balloons and the toys and various such things. 

These incidents, observations and thoughts hold and take him back to those days which he portrays through the lens of a character named Puppy. He resonates with that character's being at various levels.
