Shifting History

In this work the “Chakdo”, a hybrid means of transport in rural Gujarat, which is an example of reverse engineering or “Jugaad” is at the front with the load of agriculture produce that it usually carries topped by the burden of history as an additional baggage, that we have to carry. It shows how India has passed through historical transitions across centuries, enriched and survived with all its diversity intact Just as the “Chakado” was invented to serve a need and the way agricultural practices have answered to the demands of the times; India has kept pace with changing times as well.
