The rain falls,
A gentle, musical, heartfelt sound.
Rain decends in sheets so wide,
Feeling that's are released at last.
It colors the city in a vibrant dream,
Where greys dance and drown unseen.

Every droplet making a string of pearls
Catching the red glow traffic lights
The rhythm quickens, a frantic beat,
The world outside, a watery street
The world is hushed, the air is sweet,


And as the rain begins to cease,
Whispering goodbye as it leaves
then storm at last subsides,
The city awakes as the calm arrives,
The air feels new.
Let it be a brand new day a new surprise.
