Retro Active

These drawings have been conceptualized and created based on my past two surgeries. The surgeries, know as laparotomy were a turning point in my life and hence the drawings represent my journey, from the time of surgeries to the full life I lead now During the time of the surgery as well as the time and place where I stayed to recover and recuperate, I was engrossed in mythology. As I started to paint and draw post my recovery. I used inspiration from all that happened and the events that transpired to ideate, conceptualize and create the art that is seen here today. The work is based and created solely from my perspective and has been represented in this way because a lot of folk tales or mythological stories keeps making our routine life retro active. This in turn has a direct effect on the way we lead our lives, and ultimately reflects in the work we do.
