Going back to the roots

This Warli painting depicts the life our ancestors lived. It brings back memories of the stories my grandma would tell us growing up, how they would go to the well to fetch water, and to the forest to get wood to be able to cook food at home. The only mode of transport for them was on foot, while some affluent families had donkeys to carry them from one village to another. Look at each section carefully and relate it to a story of your own or one told to you by your grandparents!
