Dread

The painting is trying to convey a feeling of sheer panic that a person faces that leaves him or her disoriented, small and makes the person lose perspective of themselves there surroundings and the only thing they are aware of is the feeling like the earth will swallow them. The soul being sucked out of them. The anxiety the panic. Every one of us have felt such emotions and in the bustling life of today, surrounded by depression, sadness and uncertainty, we all know the feeling of panic oh too well. The painting tries to personify such emotions. Using dry pastel and the greys that mimicking the cloud in judgement that we feel while dealing with our emotions.
