The emergence of new compositions and techniques on paper during the British colonial and Indian British periods marked a pivotal moment in the evolution of artistic expression in India. As paper became more widely available, artists were able to explore innovative ways of combining traditional themes with new influences, resulting in a rich tapestry of artistic creations.

The fusion of British and Indian artistic elements, as seen in works from the Indian British period, gave rise to a unique visual vocabulary that combined the precision of European techniques with the vibrancy of Indian subjects. Artists began to experiment with compositional strategies that incorporated principles from both artistic traditions. British-influenced perspectives, such as linear perspective and realistic rendering, were skillfully integrated into scenes of Indian life, mythological narratives, and historical events.

The influence of the British colonial and Indian British periods on paper-based art can be observed in the works of the Company School artists, who skillfully combined British academic techniques with traditional Indian themes. These artists created compositions that resonated with a wide audience, capturing the nuances of cross-cultural interactions and representing diverse perspectives.

In conclusion, the incorporation of new compositions and techniques on paper during the British colonial and Indian British periods showcases the adaptability and creative spirit of artists in a dynamic cultural landscape. The marriage of British and Indian artistic elements on paper surfaces led to the birth of a unique artistic language that continues to captivate audiences, offering insights into the complexities of colonial history and the power of art as a bridge between cultures.

The dimension of art is very wide in reference to different ideas and methodological dimensions of today's time. If we look at the golden era of Indian art, the early modern and colonial periods are known among them. Even when one is existing in these times, with all European influences, Indian Art has its own identity. The subjects of my paintings are an attempt to understand the different layers of today's life with that era. My painting aims to maintain the original beauty of the painting with the techniques of the time. With the subject matter being contemporary, its technique and a painting within it has to painted and aestheticized like a painting.
