Reciprocity Failure in relation to conscious and unconciousness

“Unexpressed emotions will never die, they are buried alive and will come back forth later.”- Sigmund Freud There is a deep relation between imagination, reality and emotions. My work explore reciprocity failure in daily life. The use of light- shadow, presence-absence, line drawings depicts daily experiences (Shadow as a Metaphor for unconsciousness). How people make shift in their attitudes according to their exposures and experiences. Therefore, it brings new meaning to our unaware desires. In the series of paintings, I have created surface drawings using laser cutting on wood and cut it into pieces, where reciprocity failure is compared to the more psychological side of an individual consciousness and unconsciousness.
