Let It Flow

Let It Flow, is the first work of the series, titled the same. The medium is pen and ink on canvas. It’s a magnified view of a portion of a coniferous tree branch. In terms of subject the work is simple, the overlapping of oval canvases contributes similarly to the way the branches appear at some angles, as though overlapping one another. The background of each canvas is a gradient of brown with a drawing made with white ink. The main element of the work is line, here which is represented by tiny circles followed closely by movement, both physical and visual. The oval shaped canvases bring about interest and draw the viewer to the work. The lack of any rigid frames literally makes it Flow and grow in the visual space , just as the tree does, without any boundary.
