Tree and Deer

The work is from the Nankushiya Jangarh Shyam, wife of the very renowned artist Jangarh Singh Shyam, who has successfully carried forward Jangarh's attempt to contemporarise the traditional Gond Art. It was Jangarh's initiative to add figuratives to the traditional Gond art which is inspired from nature and was earlier done on walls by the tribal communities of Madhya Pradesh particularly, Bhopal.
