Using canvas as his playground, the artist has played a masterstroke in this artwork. This piece of art metaphorically depicts how the protagonist leads his diminutive life with endless dreams and hopes which are, more often than not, belied.

 

Here, the hardships of life has been metaphorically shown in the form of vegetable push cart which is, in fact, his profession. The protagonist has never-ending responsibilities in his life which he can barely fulfil. For example, his family expenditures, daughter's education, parents, and so on have been a great burden which he has to carry on his shoulders. In addition, in this modern uncertainties, this nomad lifestyle of his is not suitable to either to carry out his profession or to maintain his family with basic necessities.


Even though he is struggling to push the cart under scorching heat without food, his real worry is regarding on how to sustain in this materialistic world. At least he can forget some of his sorrows when he is working. But once he is back to his window-less, hovel-like room in a dingy street, all of his issues return to him haunting him like always With heavy heart and dropped shoulders, he returns to his home with some pennies in his pocket to face the never ending challenges of his mundane household routine.
