About the Artist: Born 1974, Tekmal. Tailor Srinivas studied Fine Arts at the Hyderabad Central University School of Arts. He has had more than 4 one man shows and many group shows in important art markets like Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Chandhigrah, Chennai, Khajuraho. Nagpour. Vizag, Hyderabad, Participated innumerable group shows in India. With several awards to his credit like the 8th State level Art Exhibition (P S T U) 2005. Highly Commended certificate by the Hyderabad Art Society 2000. Silver medal All India art Competition Hyderabad 2002. He lives and works in Tekmal.
Artist Statement: “To me, form in the painting is always Figurative; be it an appearance of a man and woman cow or maybe any other unknown form appearing/breathing for the first time onto the canvas. Forms in Figurative paintings remain dormant and unknown as they have no other function in the life circle. On the contrary, in the humdrum of human life forms are labeled and majorly have a function – nature, cow goat birds and others…the list goes on.”
