GarbhaGudi

Nature has always been a pure fascination for me - a setting onto which inner feelings and progressive ideas can be translated through new aesthetic language. 

Inspired by the natural environment that burst forth with colour, creatures and vegetation. I create a world of its own that evolves from creative imagination and allegorical ideologies. 

The Painting: ‘GarbhaGruha’ or GarbhaGudi  (Sanctum Sanctorum) a place of inviolable privacy. 

Sanctuary comprised of the innermost chamber of the temple. I have interpreted and correlated with the mother's wombs where the new creation happens. 

This is from my Nature Series which is about the veneration of Indian culture, mythology and tradition. Seeing womanhood through the assemblage of natural elements and symbolic representation.
