Boat of life

Vishnu's first avtaar as Matsya (fish) saved the earth from Maha Pralaya (deluge) by saving the sages, seeds, animals, birds, and King Manu by carrying them in a big boat which was tied to it's horn, to the mountains. After the floods were gone sages imparted knowledge to the king and the seeds were replanted and the new world was reborn.
