Recreating Childhood

Jitendra Saini
Acrylic and Oil on Canvas 48 X 48 Inches

Kids and their innocence have always been fascinating me. Children and childhood have been the greatest source of my inspiration and the driving force for my paintings. I really cherish the careless, playfulness, unpredictability, innocence and freedom that childhood offers. A child’s laugh, his imaginative world, his creativity, his way of reasoning and questioning, his uncharted innocence is all the points of my interest and inspirations. Their feelings, their emotions and their imagination with their innocent smiles give me a great level of energy to create my work.

In my work, I try to mirror childhood feelings and emotions with the help of visual grammar. I use all my skill along with the elements of creativity and the tools of possibility to accomplish a specific thought into my art practice

I express myself through kids. They, their purity, innocence, their boundless energy always inspire me. I feel they live in their own world which is immense. As a grown up, we can’t enter into their world until we become a kid. I calmly sit on the chair, close my eyes and soak my heart into the feeling of being a child. I dip my brush into the colors and paint this feeling onto the canvas. I paint what a child think, enjoy, live, play and worry about etc…
